Travel Playlist ❁ September 2017
I have been hitting the road a lot as of late and have decided to bring back my monthly travel playlists. These are not the classic road trip songs you would find from a photographer. You won't find any folk such as The Lumineers or Ben Howard. Here you will find some indie, rock, pop punk, as well as my usual classic rock song.
I love to add a song or two from the 60s/70s to each of my playlists and this month you will find The Beatles. This track is off my all time favorite album by them: Revolver. I find this is one of the easiest albums to sit down and listen all the way through. This is their second album where they drifted away from their boy band image and started producing more experimental music. If you like this song, I encourage you to give the full album a listen.
Two more of my favorites on this album come from one artist: EL VY. You may have never heard of this band, but you have definitely heard of the lead singer. He comes from a little band called The National. Okay, they may not be that little. What I love about Matt Berninger's side project is the overall sound. I have always been a fan of The National, but I find I need to be in the right mood to listen to it. It's a bit somber and slow, but EL VY takes the elements I love of The National and adds a bit more upbeat tone to the album. This is another one where if you love these songs, then check out their entire album. It's another one that is great to listen to all the way through.
With that, enjoy the rest of these tracks and let me know which from the playlist is your favorite.
