Bidding farewell to Paradise Pier
Well, the time has come and Paradise Pier is officially no more. Over the years, we have seen many changes happen to this park from being just a parking lot (yes, I am old enough to remember that!) to the addition of Cars Land to the renovation of Buena Vista Street and now the revamp of Paradise Pier to Pixar Pier. I am sad to see a piece of my childhood leave, but I trust Disney with this change.
Although the original DCA is nostalgic, I don't think anyone can argue that the state of the park now is worse than it was when it first opened. Each change Disney has made to the park has vastly improved it and it is now slowly becoming a park one can spend an entire day visiting rather than just a half day like it was when it first opened. DCA continues to remain my favorite park with it room for crowds and much more relaxing atmosphere compared to its sister park across the way. I believe these changes will only improve the park and make it much more cohesive.
Over the weekend, I made a stop to bid one last farewell to the last piece left of the original California Adventure Park and to snap a few pictures as a documentation of what used to be.
With that, Goodbye Paradise Pier and hello Pixar Pier!
